Hello, there! My name is Andre Livsey. i am a disciple of Christ, a husband, and an artist! i have had a passion for art since i was a child. i was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and my journey in art began with cartoons and illustrations. During high school, a few of my friends and I would create comic book characters and help each other grow in our drawing skills. Throughout the years I found inspiration from comics, movies, video games, graffiti and logos.
in 2006, I enlisted in the Marines and my artistic journey all but ended. I did small projects here and there, but my life was characterized by pursuit of self, drinking, fornication and love of comfort. During my enlistment, I've spent time in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia and Djibouti, which I believe God used to help give me perspective of the state of our world.
Eventually, my pursuit of self brought about drastic consequences in my life that almost ended my marriage. God, in his mercy, brought me to a place called Pure Life Ministries - a residential program that helped restore my relationship with God. It was during this period of time that my passion for art was reignited and I believe God put a desire in my heart to create for Him and magnify the Word of God.
This all took place in the last year, and since coming back home my wife and I have begun to build a company called "SEVENTH TRUMPET" - a name in reference to Revelation 11:15 - providing canvas, apparel, and other products with art expressing God's Word. It is currently under construction and I will provide a link here on my portfolio when it is live!
